Ebola disease in DRC

As of 22 August 2026, a total of 5,514 confirmed cases and 2,642 deatha of Ebola disease (Bundibugyo virus) have been reported in six provinces in Democratic Republic of the Congo; Ituri, North Kivu, South Kivu, Tshopo, Haut-Uele and Bas-Uele.
