Ebola disease in DRC

As of 4 July 2026, the Democratic Republic of the Congo's Ministry of Health (MoH) reported 1,561 confirmed Ebola disease cases (506 deaths) caused by Bundibugyo virus, in the ongoing outbreak. Ituri, North-Kivu and South-Kivu provinces have been affected. Please see our Topics in Brief article for further details on Ebola disease.
