Dengue in Vanuatu
As of 31 August 2026, a total of 112 confirmed dengue cases have been reported in Vanuatu since 14 June 2026. The outbreak remains active, with ongoing local transmission in affected communities across South-West Efate, Shefa Province. The most affected areas continue to be Erakor (31%), Port Vila (22%), Eratap (21%), and Pango (16%). DENV-1 has been confirmed as the circulating serotype.
